Isle of Man, UK

The Isle of Man is unique in many ways. Situated in the heart of the Irish Sea between England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, it is home to the oldest continuously running parliament in the world, established by the Vikings more than 1,000 years ago.

Island motto
The Three Legs of Mann motto has been associated with the symbol since about 1300 A.D. “Quocunque Jeceris Stabit” literally translates to “Whithersoever you throw it, it will stand”….

“no matter where/how you fall, you will land on your feet” is what a young person told me at a shop!

The Gibb brothers were all born in the Isle of Man but later moved to Keppel Road in Chorlton before emigrating to Australia in 1958.
